well they've been and gone...time flies by
My brother, James, his wife, Pat, my sister, Margaret, and her partner, Don, arrived down in Norfolk, around 4 o'clock on Friday, 14th, afternoon. They were staying in a local bed and breakfast establishment, Glaven Lodge.
We went down to the local Indian restaurant on Friday evening and had a nice meal, before finishing the night in the Orchard Gardens pub.
On Saturday morning, I took our visitors into Norwich for a walk round the main part of the city, and went to Wroxham, the capital of the Broads. We then headed home, where Liz was organizing a kind of all day buffet for everyone. Our son, Don, with his wife, Mags and son Andy, came over from Lincoln. Our daughter, Suzie, with husband, Mark, came up from Poringland.
We had some friends over to meet them, Steve and Karan Darrall, and John and Brenda West.
We had a nice afternoon, which went well into the evening..finally finishing around midnight.
On Sunday morning we took them to Sheringham and Cromer, finishing off in Wroxham Barns. We had a carvery lunch in the Scarborough Hill Hotel.
After a quiet afternoon, we went to the quiz in our local pub, The Bluebell. We recorded the highest score ever, in winning. so that was alright.
They left to go up the road to Aberdeen first ting on Monday morning...arriving there early evening, and then Don and Margaret left for Caithness on Tuesday, getting back home around 4 in the afternoon.
We very much enjoyed the company and they say that they had a good time down here...so we are glad.
