here we are heading for Christmas and the end of the year...we've not been doing a lot in the last few weeks...we went off to North Walsham and Norwich to deliver our Christmas cards to our old neighbours...came back and had a couple of cold days with a few snow showers... we went out last Saturday, 9th December, to the Breakfast club Christmas dinner in Toby's Carvery in Lincoln....we're having our Camaraderie Club Christmas buffet on Wednesday...

we went to visit RAF Coningsby last week with the Camaraderie Club...it was very good..we were to visit Air Traffic Control, the Typhoon aircraft section and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight...but things happened..7 of us were put in the lift to Air Traffic..and it stuck between floors..they had to rip the doors off the lift and we were there for 1 and a half hours...the firemen were excellent...we missed part 1 and 2 of the visit but we got out in time for the BBMF and our curry lunch in the Sergeant's Mess...excellent...a couple of our 7 were panicking slightly but they weren't too bad...it gave us something to talk about..they called us the Magnificent 7....

we had to have an off the cuff holiday at short notice so we got a good deal from Thomson's....and we ended up in Corfu....we went to Theo's Hotel in Agios Georgeous  in the north west part of the island...it was excellent...while there we went on a boat trip to Parga on the Greek mainland and then to Paxos island..an excellent day out...now we're back into reality and the summer is fast heading away...the Steam Punks were back in Lincoln last weekend...

well here are..back from our holidays..we went to Sunny Beach in Bulgaria and it was excellent..we'd been there before so we didn't have to waste time looking for places/things to do...

11th April 2017..
well, here we are again..it's anniversary time..on Sunday 16th, it will be our 52nd wedding anniversary...my auntie, up from Glasgow, said that it would never last..but she was a wee bit wrong, and we're still here..sadly, she's no longer with us...
we're going off to Norfolk to celebrate..we're having a night in the Sea Marge in Overstrand, near Cromer....then we're visiting Suzie and Mark in Norwich...it's Easter weekend....

I'm knackered...it's not a bad day so...thought I'd have a go at cutting the grass..first cut of the year...it wasn't too long, but the ground was soaking..couldn't really get the mower moving...managed to get one full bucket of grass cut though..it looks a bit better, but I'll leave it for a couple of weeks yet..maybe till the ground dries out a bit...

Well, here we go ..winter is behind us..ahead of us the only way is up...Spring has sprung..the daffies are on there way and only 11 weeks until our holiday..Sunny Beach here we come...
It's been quite quick first 2 months of the year...
the budget is out on Wednesday.. 2 days away..nothing exciting expected..just hammer the poor and give to the rich...
Peter 'Snakebite' Wright won the UK Open darts title at the week-end..it's been on it's way...

2017 is here..

2017 at last..took it's time getting here...Christmas and New Year were very quiet..quite enjoyable but quiet...we were in our bed by 1.30 am on New Years morning..very early for us..there was nothing on the tv.. and the younger ones were out at a party...
