On the 27th August, we went to Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, for 11 days...we'd never been before, and we wondered if we'd like it... we stayed in the Park Continental Hotel..it was excellent, friendly staff and very clean..the resort is on the Black Sea, and had lots to offer..bars, restaurants, shops, clubs and very easy to get around..it was dirt cheap as well...lager was 40p a pint..and the food was excellent with prices on the same scale..we'd recommend going back...

we went to Lincoln for the weekend to visit Don, Mags and Andy...it was a very nice weekend...we went out for our tea on Thursday, to the Hungry Horse...went back and had a few pints...then on Friday, Liz and I, went down int the city and wandered about for a few hours, getting stuff for our holidays.. David's service was taking place in Belleville, Ontario, around teatime our time, so Liz wanted to do something special...so, she got a Chinese lantern to let off in David and Bob's memories...a bit sad...we all went down town on Saturday and had our lunch in the Chines buffet place ..that was very nice..came back and watched the Olympics...then on Sunday, we watched the Charity Shield game ...had our Sunday dinner and headed home..we got home around 7 o'clock..we then watched the closing ceremony of the Olympics...

we had James and Pat down this weekend..they arrived on Friday..we had tea and then went down to the Orchard Gardens..met Karan.Steve, Rod, Mark Wardle and Janet with Darren.. had a few drinks..then Saturday we went on the Broads for a trip..came home went to the Olive Tree and had a very nice meal, followed by another late night in the Bluebell...on Sunday we went to Sutton Staithe for a carvery ..Mark and Suzie came up to see James and Pat..we spent the afternoon watching the F1 and the tennis before having tea and going to the Bluebell for the Quiz, where we met Karan and Steve..another late night..James and Pat left Monday morning around 9 am ..and arrived in Aberdeen around 8.45 pm...it was a hectic weekend..not what we normally do...

Fun Day was yesterday and it was a day of thunder. lightning and heavy rain..not much fun..today's completely different...short week this week..Thursday off..Pud and Kristy's wedding on Saturday...and James and Pat coming down the week after...so a busy couple of weeks...we're staying in the Northrepps Cottage on Saturday night ..so, a bit of a change there..my shoulder's been giving me a bit of gip lately so I went to the Doc...got to go to physio when he sorts it out...

this is our 47th wedding anniversary..Suzie and Mark took us out yesterday for Sunday lunch and we took a walk down to the Bluebell for the quiz, to round off the day.. I'm back after the Easter break, at my lollipopping..it's still very cool first thing in the morning..
